INFOS :
I discovered Scientiam Templum thanks to Iron Hammer magazine, an amazing zine from Germany with impeccable band selection. They immediately struck me as an interesting band so I did my best to grab their already existing material (which was quite hard to fin, always a good sign) and was amazed by their killer reinterpretation of the mystical sounds of early 90's BM. During the Covid shit year, they sent me a work in progress of this mlp and was stunned by the quality! Nothing this good has been recorded in the recent years. The sound is thick yet very obscure, the songwriting goes beyond every easy paths other band decide to take out of laziness and lack of talent. Scientiam Templum probably has some Mercyful Fate in them somewhere.
The MLP itself contains only 5 songs, including one intro and on outro. The songs are very long for the usual standards (6 minutes + songs) and never sound boring for a second. The whole thing is draped in alchemical mysteries, a true masterpiece. They are currently working on a full length album.
